CHStarmaker's Bouquet

Our Secret Masterpiece

CHStarmaker’s Bouquet aka “Bougie” was responsible for starting my career as an Amateur Owner Trainer. I had dabbled in training horses at a few barns, but had never had the opportunity to call the training shots on a horse until I brought Bougie back to Colorado as a three year old. She was a special horse and we developed a strong bond from the beginning. The owner of the first barn where I boarded Bougie said he always knew when I arrived because she recognized the sound of the engine on my car and would start nickering as soon as she heard me pull up! Bougie and I established a sense of trust in each other that, over the years, has conquered many obstacles.

My breeding career also began with Bougie. She was my first broodmare and has had three nice young horses; all of which are show horses and following in their mother’s footsteps. At 22 years old, Bougie is retired from showing and breeding and eats all the grass she wants to. She will always have a special place in my heart!
