American Saddlebred: Faithful Friends Wall of Honor




These horses have been honored with a donation to the American Saddlebred Horse Association towards the technology upgrade, which will enhance the ASHA website and help support the advancement of our breed.
	Sylvan Bourbon King Sylvan Bourbon King was lovingly known as "Captain" Although show records were not kept during his younger show days, we were told of his many championship wins in fine harness and as a 5-gaited horse. We did see him win the 5-gaited championship at the California Futurity in 1986 or '87, just before we purchased him. He was a joy to be around and to work with, not the type of stallion you had to "watch your back" around. He died at home surrounded by his mares and the people who loved him. His legacy lives on in his final foal, a stallion with the same great attitude and willingness to please. Posted 3/2013
