Silent Spring

Janian's Midsummer Knight

Knight was one of those special "once in a lifetime" horses. He and I learned new skills together--first in the western pleasure and working western divisions, which culminated in his winning all three divisions of the Shatner Finals, then in dressage and combined training, in which he proved again the versatility of the American Saddlebred. My favorite memories of Knight include him being the leadline horse for Justin Dijak; winning the Shatner Finals; going clean cross-country at both the Longview Horse Trials and the Queenie Park Horse Trials; trail riding with friends throughout Boone County, and teaching Lee Hulse how to ride. He was truly a once in a lifetime horse!
